Ready to turn your passion for diving into a career you can take anywhere in the world? The Instructor Training Course at Odysseic Divers transforms experienced Divemasters into confident, capable, professional dive instructors.

Our goal isn’t just to get you through the final exam — it’s to develop instructors who can teach safely, professionally, and successfully at any dive centre on the planet.

Why Become an Instructor?

Teaching diving is one of the most rewarding jobs there is. As an instructor you can:

  • Teach people to scuba dive from their very first breath
  • Live and work in incredible places around the world
  • Share your love of the ocean every single day
  • Build a long-term, portable career in the dive industry

Why Train With Us

Choosing where to do your instructor training is one of the biggest decisions in a diving career. At Odysseic Divers, professional development is something we take seriously: small groups, experienced trainers, and a strong focus on real teaching ability rather than shortcuts.

Course Structure

The programme runs as an intensive 16-day course followed by the final instructor examination. Throughout, you’ll work on:

  • Academic workshops — standards, dive theory, risk management, and how people learn
  • Confined-water teaching — demonstrating skills to instructor standard and running effective sessions
  • Open-water teaching — presentations, supervision, and problem-solving with real students
  • Rescue workshops — sharpening leadership and emergency management
  • Professional development — customer care, dive-centre operations, and building your career

Personal Coaching

With limited places on each course, our trainers give every candidate detailed, individual feedback. Daily coaching, video review, and practical workshops mean you improve fast.

Requirements

You’ll need a Divemaster certification (or equivalent), a Nitrox certification, and at least 100 logged dives to join. Courses run to a fixed schedule through the year — pick the start date that suits your plans.
